Contrast Sensitivity
  • Contrast sensitivity refers to the ability to differentiate an object from its surroundings, which directly relate to the ability to recognize faces, text and small objects.
  • Contrast sensitivity often declines with age.
  • Contrast sensitivity can be enhanced with filters that increase brightness and limit glare: yellow, orange, plum, and amber. (Offer yellows, light orange and light plum filters for indoor and night driving contrast sensitivity.)
